Violation Update
Tuesday, 2 September 2003 by Jacob TomawLast week, I posted about the City sending me a Notice of Violation for not paying a parking ticket. I was prepared to go downtown and pay the ticket, but I never did. After doing a little more checking in my checking account, I saw that the check had cleared. Today, I called the Department of Revenue and used their automated system to check the status of my ticket. It is paid in full. The automated system is very slow, on the same level as the IRS Telefile system. Al least the voice from the IRS is upbeat. The City?s Revenue voice sounds like a disgruntled city employee and there are pregnant pauses between every word.
