Right a century of suffering didn’t do it but missing one game will.
Saturday, 27 September 2003 by Jacob TomawYou are telling me those fans that have sit through as many losing seasons as Cubs fans have are going to turn on the team now? This is because they have to exchange their rain delay tickets from yesterday for a game next year. Some of these fans paid as much as $800 per ticket from a broker and the tickets next year will be face value, about $25. These fans are blaming the Cubs for not letting them see the game today. However the Cubs are good Chicagoans and are of course blaming the mayor. By city ordnance there can only be 18 regular season night games, if they made up the game tonight they would be breaking the law, and they way the Mayor has been who knows if Wrigley would still exist after that.
