The right to kind of vote.

Tuesday, 9 March 2004 by Jacob Tomaw

In California there is a proposal to allow 16-year olds to cast a half-vote and 14-year olds to cast a quarter-vote. One of the proposals sponsors says that kids today are smarter because of the Internet, cell phones, and television. I was under the impression these things were bad for the kids.

An official against the idea said that children are no mature enough to vote and can easily be deceived. If these are the reasons that children should not vote I think that we should take away the vote of a lot of people, starting with the Floridians who cannot figure out how to vote.
