Here come the judge!
Saturday, 11 September 2004 by Jacob TomawI am a very rare individual, a Chicagoan who is registered Republican. This also makes me important to the election process. At least the Chicago Board of Election Commissioners thinks so. Chicago is so Republican dry that there are 6053 vacancies for Republican judges of election! To remedy this, CBEC sent out letters addressed to “Dear Republican Voter” asking for folks to serve as judges. I think it would be cool to be an election judge, especially in the city so renowned for its …uhm…. democratic process.
I am sending in my application today. See you the first Tuesday after the first Monday of November.
