Friggin’ Sharks with Friggin’ Lasers on their heads!

Monday, 18 April 2005 by Jacob Tomaw

CBS is reporting that our military is close to developing a solid-state laser. This sound to me that the army will be able to kill people and break things easier and with fewer of our own casualties, and that is always a good thing.

However, CBS asks, “Since no other country is anywhere near developing a militarized solid-state laser, under what circumstances would the U.S. use it in a war?” The question and the rest of the article are slanted to the side that we should not use them until other nations can also.

The military should not be restrained from using advanced technologies if it will save American lives. It is the core role of the government to protect us. The military should also do all that is possible to prevent unnecessary casualties on the other side while safely and quickly completing their mission. So, open fire but aim for the machines when possible.

It is also pretty interesting how this weapon will work. “Contrary to science fiction, the lasers will not be visible streams of light. Instead, targets will simply explode.”

Goon: “Hey Great Leader, look at this awesome new weapon I have developed.”
Great Leader: “Great! Let me see it.”
-=*BOOM*=-
Great Lead (now covered in soot): “Damn Americans!”
