Why do you live where you live?
Wednesday, 22 August 2007 by Jacob TomawDid you make an overt choice of where you live?
Did you just stay were you were?
Did someone else make the choice and you followed them?
Answer in the comments. I make no judgments of others values; everyone is entitled to their choices. I am quite curious. We visit friends and family quite often and moving to the visited locale is often a topic of discussion.
I have a pretty good idea why I live where I do. Before I say why, you need to tell me why you live where you live.

Well, after considering moving to a handful of cities across the United States, I decided to follow the love of my life to this fine todlin’ town. All for love!! *Smooch smooch. I love you, baby!*
Ok, sorry if that made you puke a little. In all seriousness, I kind of always had a feeling I’d eventually move to Chicago. It has all the perks and opportunities of the city and it’s 2.5 to 3 hours from home, the optimal distance from family, in my opinion.

OK, enough of the mushy talk please! I moved to Indy because that was where I got my first job - plain and simple. I did have family here but the main reason was for the job. I enjoy Indy and like Jos said - the 2 to 3 hours away from the parents is perfect!

I moved to the Twin Cities due to my job at Target. I then moved down to Hampton, Minnesota, due to lack of what Dana and I deem “decent housing” closer to downtown.
Plus, we love living across the street from a truck stop and down the road from a huge cattle farm. The smell of grease and manure make Hampton very eclectic.
