It has been a 'few' years since I have had a newborn but if memory serves me 5-7% weight loss isn't anything to get upset about. Hope you are home now where you can be more comfortable and relaxed. It can take a few days for milk to come in but the colostrum is the best for his little stomach, very easy to digest to get his system up and 'going'. You two are too funny!
