Your civilization has entered a golden age?
Thursday, 10 January 2008 by Jacob TomawScott Adams thinks our food, gold, and building production are about to double dispite what others might think:
One view of the near future is that terrorists will get nukes and set the atmosphere on fire, or global warming will kill us all, or bird flu will create a pandemic, or the world economy will melt down, or all of those disasters will happen at once. I suppose that’s possible. But I think it’s more likely we are entering a golden age.
I like his arguments.
If we do enter a golden age, I suggest we build The Great Pyramids so we have a granary in every city.
(Please read Scott’s post even if you find my CIV references annoying.)

Depending on the edition we are playing, I suggest we not choose Democracy or Republic as our form of government. Monarchy is the way to go. Sadly, the Royalist Party of America appears to be defunct.
