Josh Claybourn shared this post about “Relevent” messages preached at many modern churches. I shared it with our Sunday school’s Google group and it has lead to a very interesting discussion. I wanted to share it with all of you and see what you thought.

    I don’t care for the tone of the post, but I have to say it is completely accurate for far too many sermons I’ve heard. In fact, it’s one of the main reasons I left the UMC.

    Can you say Joel Olsteen?

    I completely agree with the post. I love sermons where I walk out thinking: “I want to learn more about this to strengthen my faith” or “the pastor challenged me to live my life like this.”
