Hard times at OCOM

Tuesday, 11 November 2008 by Jacob Tomaw

The last two days have been tough down at the factory. 10% of our workforce has been cut. This is added on top of the travel ban and hiring freeze already in place.

Perhaps I have drank the kool-aid, but it sounds like the leadership is making the right choices to put the company on the right path. (Note: the things I know are just what the public knows, but from the horse’s mouth, nothing insider.)

I’m kind of looking forward to the changes that a big “D” could bring…I am torn though on the issue of helping the Big 3 Autos…we could bail them out but who will be left to buy the cars? Things that make you go hmmmm.

BTW I’m assuming a travel ban is on employees using thier discounted travel vouchers? Otherwise I haven’t been notified that I’m not allowed to travel.
