Message from Tim Janecyk
Monday, 17 March 2008 Jacob TomawTim Janecyk is Treffly Coyne’s husband. He left a comment to the post about the dropped charges and I wanted to pull it to the top.
My wife our family would like to thank those of you who allowed your compassion to place yourselves with us in a terrible moment in the darkest hour (97 days) of our families lives.
We didn’t win on the 13th of March.
We waited 97 days to get what we deserved… justice.
There was never any evedience that Treffly did anything wrong. They knew that on day number 1, they knew that on day number 97.
There is mounting evidence of maliciousness on the part of Chief Timothy Sulikowskis Crestwood Police.
We fought this fight to show our children that you do not stand down when you are a victim of injustice or abuse. Those girls saw mom and dad fight the good fight.
We did not win, but we BEAT them.
We beat them because of all of the millions of faceless people around the world saw the trespass against our family as a trespass against their own family.
As a father and a man, I am humbled by a debt of gratitude towards so many people… a debt I could never possibly repay.
I would say this: From the deepest part of my heart, the place reserved usually for the love I have of my family, I thank you. I hope our fight, the fight you joined, opens eyes enough that this never happens to anyone elses family.
I make you this promise:
My name is Tim Janecyk.
I would fight as hard for justice for your family as I fought for mine.
